That Elizabeth Olsen show, Sorry For Your Loss, returns for its second season today. Why am I stumping so hard for this horror anthology? Three reasons: I’m easily pleased, I have a short attention span, and “stumping” sounds like I got my leg chopped off, which is thematically relevant! Anyway, new episodes drop on Thursdays and there are only six in total so enjoy it while it lasts! While Bosworth, the Facebook executive, was in the middle of describing how he sees Workrooms as a more interactive way to gather virtually with coworkers than video chat, his avatar froze mid-sentence, the pixels of its digital skin turning from flesh-toned to gray. And Workrooms uses a combination of hand tracking and spatial audio - which accounts for room acoustics and makes sounds appear to come from specific directions - to allow users to interact with each other in ways that mimic real life, except for a sound cancellation feature that eliminates background noise.īut it’s clear Facebook is still working out some kinks. Headset wearers can view their real-life computer screen in VR via an accompanying desktop app. The app employs a slew of technologies and tricks to make the experience feel as in-person as it can be when you’re represented in virtual space by an animated approximation of yourself. It shows how far Facebook has progressed in blending hardware and software since its purchase of Oculus in 2014 - and how far it still has to go. Workrooms may offer users a sense of what’s to come. Horizon has yet to appear for most users and Facebook confirmed this week that the app remains in a private beta testing stage. Instead, it announced a virtual social world called Horizon, which was set to be released in 2020. The company shut down both VR apps in October 2019, however. The company launched virtual-hangout apps Oculus Rooms and Facebook Spaces in 20, respectively, which let small groups of users gather in VR. It’s not the first time Facebook and its subsidiary Oculus have tried to popularize social interaction via VR. He said Facebook has been using the app internally for about a year. Just slip on those goggles or boot up that app and you’ll be hanging out around the VR water cooler in no time.“The pandemic in the last 18 months has only given us greater confidence in the importance of this as a technology,” Andrew Bosworth, VP of Facebook Reality Labs, said while addressing a (virtual) room of about a dozen people on Tuesday. With remote work and gig-economy jobs on the rise, there’s no reason to abandon the key advantages of face-to-face meetings just because you’re miles away. While most meetings could probably have been an email, these virtual reality meeting applications are perfect for those times you really need to have real time to wrestle with the tough problems as a group. It’s not suited for work collaboration, but as a way for a group of people to meet and talk, it’s one of the most comfortable and intuitive solutions out there. For the casual visitor and photographer, the obvious area trophy peaks are the famous Maroon Bells and Pyramid Peak, both accessible by a non-wilderness, paved road to Maroon Lake. It is the granddaddy place to be in the Elk Range. The Maroon Bells-Snowmass Wilderness Area in central Colorado offers up some of the finest and most photographed scenery in Colorado. Later in 1980, it took the efforts of Aspen conservationists to expand the area to include such notable landmarks as Mount Sopris, Castle Peak, and the lower reaches of Conundrum Creek valley. The first piece of legislature encompassed only the most rugged core of the range. In 1964, Congress recognized the obvious wilderness value of the Elk Mountains, and the Maroon Bells Snowmass wilderness was one of the original five Colorado wilderness areas designated by the Wilderness Act. TOPO Monster Maps First, The following Overview map is interactive. So play it safe and everything will work out fine. The experiences here vary: mostly epic, but occasionally bad. If you choose to spend time hiking and climbing the Elks, expect a different experience every time out. Many of the valley slopes are ribbed with dangerous avalanche paths, which limits winter mountaineering to only the most daring and adventurous souls. The combination of abundant snowfall and generally steep and narrow valleys, makes access to these mountains a serious obstacle during winter months. The potential for rock-fall is always nearby. In the Elks, the use of a rope can be more of a hindrance than a tool for safety. Only one of six fourteener’s has a walk-up route to the summit. Furthermore, most of the centennial peaks require top physical conditioning and good climbing skills. Like most mountain ranges, some peaks are more dangerous than others good routefinding skills are of paramount importance. The Elk Range has a reputation for loose and crumbling rock. However, beauty doesn’t necessarily translate into good climbing. Indeed these mountains are some of Colorado’s most beautiful. Mountaineering in the Elks The Elk Range has six fourteener’s and four centennial thirteeners. Thanks to the Maroon Bells Snowmass Wilderness, we can visit large sections of mountainous terrain knowing not much has changed since early exploration. Over the years, the Elk Range has have remained in respectably good shape, however some of the northern trails are beginning to show some over-use. Second, the stratified purplish-red, sedimentary rock of the Permian age, evidenced in mountains like Cathedral Peak, Teocalli Mountain, Pyramid Peak, Maroon Bells and "Willow Peak." The whitish, gray rock of the tertiary intrusives is responsible for the sweeping, skinny ridges that connect point-to-point, evident in Snowmass Mountain, The Beckwith’s, Capitol Peak and the Chair Mountain massif. There are two very distinct geological types of rock that are clearly evident in the Elk Mountains, the tertiary intrusives, and the stratified sedimentary. The scenic beauty of the Elk Range is mostly due to its unique geology. Crystal clear streams, pristine alpine lakes and lush green vegetation are common sights. With Wilderness designation, these protected mountains are rugged, steep and aesthetically pleasing. The high mountains of Colorado’s Elk Range are among the finest peaks in the Rockies. It makes sense dividing the Elk Range into three regions, the famous Maroon Bells Snowmass Wilderness(Maroon Bells, Capitol Peak/Snowmass Mountain, and the Conundrum/Taylor River area), the Raggeds Wilderness (Chair Mountain, Ragged Mountain and the Treasure Mountain massif) and the West Elks Wilderness(the Beckwith’s, the Owens Mountain massif, West Elk massif and the Anthracite Range.) Combined, all three regions provide the perfect introduction into Colorado's spectacular backcountry. I though you said you knew you want to make sure the animation frames are 64圆4 and don't get cropped. just email with proof of purchase email receipts or screen-grabs from Steam etc and I'll be happy to take care of that for you. If you've purchased Spriter Pro and wish to discontinue using it, we'd be happy to refund you and rescind the license. If you find a program out there that better suits your animating, exporting, cropping needs then please do let us know which program it is so we can learn from it and improve Spriter for future users. you might find a program with scaling options that can better suit your needs, but I can tell you now, as a 10 plus year veteran pixel artist, at 64圆4 resolution, hand pixel-polishing of your frames is almost always needed. With proper feedback and patience Spriter will better fit your needs and improve over time, and everyone also, with patience and an open mind can learn to make much better use of already existing features and tools to meet their needs.Īre you exporting a large animation to 64圆4 pixels? Are you aware that 64圆4 is very low-res and pixelated by its very nature? You're welcome to try any program you'd like such as Irfanview (which is free) to batch reduce your images AFTER exporting them from Spriter at full size. especially when we're busy implementing lots of other features. but it all takes time, and sometimes what you want might not get implemented until sometime after you or someone else asks for it. As mentioned above, we'll do our best to accommodate as many work-flows and needs as possible as we go. nor were most of the features everyone already uses and enjoys and benefits from in Spriter, nor will be the many more features we'll add in the future, including features like what you are saying you need. Quick edit: When I export the frames to be small the resulting image is pixelated and blotchy  I'm very unhappy with the product and feel I have indeed purchased a lemon :( How faffing hard is that to accomplish in this program? Right now that seems to be impossible. Hell, the program doesn't even save all of the export settings when I save the project so if when I bugger about getting those right, I have to manually record them if I ever want to use them again!Īll I want is for all of my sprites to fit into and be centered inside a 64圆4 square image. Since this happens, would it not be quite easy to calculate a bounding box that encompases all objects in the frame? And then would it not be quite simple to calculate the largest bounding box for the animation and show that visually? And also even display onscreen somewhere the dimensions of that bounding box in pixels? And then be able to show the largest bounding box for all animations? Surely thats not rocket science! What I have noticed is that when I select all objects in any frame of any animation, each and every one gets a little bounding box drawn around it. I then had a thought of creating one huge animation containing all the frames from the other animations but there doesn't seem to be any ability to copy/paste frames between animations. I was going to try that as a solution but then discovered that it is not possible to copy those lines to al frames in all animations *sigh* I noticed that I can drag lines from the margins and move them around to make a pseudo bounding box, theselines can be copied to all frames. I'm not keen on using TexturePacker because I didn't know when I purchased this program that I would need to use another program to make this program work as advertised. Thanks for your explanation Mike, but I don't understand why you are suggesting I use some guide image when I would not know the dimensions that would need to be. In conjunction with an Nvidia integrated graphics (e.g. MPEG-1 is still not supported, but the decoding of this codec is quite trivial on a CPU. The Video Processor 4 (VP4) supports the full decoding of H.264, VC-1, and now also MPEG-4 ASP (e.g. The mobile graphics card has a built in video decoder called PureVideo HD with VP4. For these special tasks, the GPU can be noticeably faster than current CPUs. The GeForce GPU also supports CUDA, DirectX Compute, OpenCL, and PhysX to use the shaders for other tasks than rendering images (for example, encoding videos or calculating physics of a game or mathematical tasks). The shaders of the GT215 core are based on the GTX 200 desktop architecture and are therefore improved compared to the G92 based cards (e.g. The unified shaders of Nvidia are 1-dimensional (AMD has 5-dimensional shaders which lead to the higher number of shaders). Similar to the GeForce 9800M GT, the GTS 360M features 96 stream processors that do the graphics work of the former dedicated pixel- and vertex-shaders. The TDP can also be reduced to 4.9 Watts, but this will obviously affect the performance. The TDP of the whole Pentium Silver N5000 chip is 6 Watts by default, so the GPU is primarily used for (often passively cooled) netbooks or thin notebooks. Up to three displays can be connected via DP 1.2a/eDP 1.3 or HDMI 2.0a (including HDCP 2.2). The video engine decodes H.265/HEVC (8b and 10b) and VP9 completely in hardware. Therefore, the GPU is only suited for some very low demanding games like Dirt Rally or Sims 4. The UHD Graphics 605 offers a similar performance as the Intel HD Graphics 505 in the Apollo Lake SoCs (same Gen 9 architecture). The technical specifications of the GPU are based on Intel's Gen9 architecture, which is also used for the more expensive Skylake series and also in the predecessor HD Graphics 505.ĭue to its lack of dedicated graphics memory or eDRAM cache, the UHD 605 has to access the main memory via processor (2x 64bit DDR4/LPDDR4-2400). Being the maximum configuration of the Gemini Lake GPU, the UHD Graphics 605 is equipped with 18 Execution Units (EUs) running at up to 750 MHz. The GPU can convince with low consumption figures, but the performance is only in the low-end segment and is rarely sufficient for modern games. Pentium Silver N5000), which was announced late 2017.
